Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Wayzos ("Wayzos", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Wayzos mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, posting a trip, accepting a match, sending a chat message, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction
- Have not previously been suspended or banned by Wayzos
- Are not impersonating another person or creating an account on behalf of someone else
By using the Service you represent and warrant that the above is true.
3. Account Creation and Verification
3.1 Sign-Up
You create an account by verifying ownership of an email address through a one-time password (OTP). You provide your name and gender at sign-up. You are responsible for keeping access to your registered email.
3.2 Account Review
To post trips, accept matches, or chat with other users, your account must be reviewed and approved by Wayzos. The review requires you to provide a link to a public social media or professional profile (such as LinkedIn) so our team can confirm you are a real person.
We review submissions manually. We may approve, reject, or ask you to resubmit. We may re-review accounts at any time if we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or misrepresentation.
You agree that the profile you submit is genuinely yours. Submitting someone else's profile or misrepresenting yourself during review is grounds for permanent ban.
3.3 One Account Per Person
Each person may hold at most one active Wayzos account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, ratings, or other restrictions is a breach of these Terms.
3.4 Account Security
Do not share your OTP code with anyone — Wayzos staff will never ask for it. Notify us at team@wayzos.com immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
4. Nature of the Service
4.1 What Wayzos Is
Wayzos is a community ride-sharing platform. We provide technology that connects people travelling along similar routes so they can arrange to share a ride and optionally split travel costs directly between themselves.
4.2 What Wayzos Is Not
- Wayzos is not a taxi, ride-hailing, or commercial transport service.
- Drivers are private individuals offering empty seats on trips they were already making — not professional or licensed transport operators.
- Wayzos does not employ, contract, or authorise drivers to act on its behalf. Each match is a private arrangement between two users.
- Wayzos does not process payments. Cost-sharing is settled directly between users (see §9).
- Wayzos does not verify vehicle registration, roadworthiness, driver licences, or insurance. Vehicle information shown in the app is provided by drivers as a convenience only and has not been checked by us.
4.3 Platform Only
Wayzos is a technology platform that helps people find others sharing their route. We are not responsible for what happens during or in connection with any trip arranged through the Service. Using the Service is at your own risk.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- Post a trip you do not genuinely intend to make, or post fake routes to manipulate match results
- Use the Service to offer or arrange commercial transport, taxi services, food or parcel delivery, or any service other than non-commercial ride-sharing
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, sexually harass, or discriminate against any other user
- Use slurs, hate speech, or content that incites violence or sectarian conflict
- Solicit romantic or sexual encounters or any interaction outside arranging a shared ride
- Attempt to bypass female-only matching, blocks, verification requirements, or any other safety feature by any means
- Submit someone else's profile or misrepresent yourself during account review
- Probe, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the app
- Use the Service while intoxicated to a degree that endangers others
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law in your jurisdiction
6. Posts, Matches, and Trips
6.1 Posts
A post is your declaration that you intend to make a trip from a specific origin to a destination on a specific date within a time window. Rider posts seek a seat; driver posts offer seats. Posts must reflect trips you genuinely plan to make.
6.2 Matching
The Wayzos matching engine compares posts and surfaces compatible candidates. Matches may be filtered by gender, blocks, distance thresholds, or female-only settings. We do not guarantee any particular volume or quality of matches.
6.3 Confirmation and No-Shows
Confirming a match means you commit to showing up at the agreed time and place. Repeated confirmed-then-cancelled trips, or repeated no-shows, may affect your rating and lead to account restrictions.
6.4 During the Trip
The Service does not direct, monitor, or control the trip itself. Drivers remain solely responsible for their vehicle, driving conduct, compliance with local traffic laws, and the safety of passengers. Riders are responsible for their own conduct.
7. Female-Only Mode
Female-only mode is a core safety feature of Wayzos.
- When enabled, your posts are hidden from users whose verified gender is male — enforced server-side so it cannot be bypassed by a modified app.
- Only users with verified female gender may enable female-only posting.
- Attempting to view female-only posts as a male user by any means is a serious breach of these Terms and may result in immediate permanent ban.
If you believe female-only mode has failed for you, report it to team@wayzos.com immediately. We treat this as a priority incident.
8. Driver Responsibilities
If you post as a driver you specifically agree that:
- You hold a valid driving licence appropriate for your vehicle in your jurisdiction
- You hold valid registration and any required insurance for the vehicle
- The vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition
- You comply with all applicable traffic laws
- You will not drive while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance
- You will not exceed the vehicle's registered seat capacity
Wayzos does not verify any of the above. Riders rely on your representations. Misrepresenting these matters is a breach of these Terms.
9. Cost-Sharing
Wayzos does not handle or process payments. Any cost-sharing between a rider and a driver is agreed privately between them and settled directly — typically in cash. Wayzos is not a party to that arrangement and bears no responsibility for missed, disputed, or refused contributions.
Cost-sharing must reflect a reasonable contribution toward fuel and incidental costs. It must not be set so as to generate profit or operate as a commercial fare. Drivers offering trips for profit will be suspended.
10. Safety, Reports, and Blocks
10.1 Reports
If another user's behaviour concerns you, report them in-app or by email to team@wayzos.com. Reports may lead to investigation, suspension, or ban.
10.2 Blocks
You may block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot see your posts and cannot contact you, and vice versa. Blocks are not visible to the blocked user.
10.3 Emergencies
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Wayzos will cooperate with law enforcement as required.
11. Ratings
After a completed trip, both parties may rate each other on a five-star scale with optional written feedback. Ratings are shown on your public profile. Repeated low ratings or confirmed safety reports may result in restricted access or a ban.
Ratings must be honest and based on your actual experience. We may remove ratings we determine were submitted abusively.
12. Cancellation and No-Shows
- Before confirmation: you may cancel at any time without penalty.
- After confirmation: late cancellations are noted. Persistent late cancellations may affect your rating and match priority.
- No-shows: the affected user may flag a no-show. We may adjust ratings or apply restrictions based on patterns of behaviour.
- Mid-trip abandonment by a driver (except for genuine safety reasons) is a serious breach and may result in permanent ban.
13. Suspension and Termination
13.1 By Wayzos
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account without prior notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, submitted false information during review, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose Wayzos or other users to harm. Where reasonable, we will explain the action and how to appeal.
13.2 By You
You may close your account at any time through the in-app delete-account flow or by emailing team@wayzos.com. Deletion is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
13.3 Effect of Termination
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 15 (Disclaimers), 16 (Limitation of Liability), 17 (Indemnity), and 19 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination.
14. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content created by Wayzos — including software, design, logos, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to Wayzos. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms.
You retain ownership of content you submit (profile photos, vehicle photos, written feedback). By submitting content, you grant Wayzos a royalty-free licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service. We will not use your content for advertising.
15. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Wayzos does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Matches will be found for any particular post
- Information posted by users is accurate or complete
- Drivers or riders are who they appear to be
- Trips will occur as planned or will be safe
- Vehicle information displayed in the app is accurate, current, or verified
Wayzos is a technology platform only. It is not a transport provider, an employer of drivers, an insurer, or a guarantor of any user's conduct or character. Each user is responsible for assessing the suitability of any match before, during, and after a trip. Verification, ratings, reports, and blocking are tools that reduce risk — they do not eliminate it.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wayzos will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wayzos will not be liable for any damages arising from the conduct of any other user, including physical or emotional injury, harassment, theft, property damage, accidents, or criminal conduct in connection with a trip arranged through the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wayzos, its affiliates, directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms or the Privacy Policy
- Your misuse of the Service
- Your interactions with other users, including disputes, accidents, or injuries during a trip
- Any content you submit
- Your violation of any applicable law
18. Force Majeure
Wayzos is not responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications outages, or third-party service failures.
19. Dispute Resolution
19.1 Informal Resolution
Before commencing any formal proceeding, contact team@wayzos.com. We will engage in good faith to resolve matters within 30 days.
19.2 Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Wayzos is incorporated. Users are also subject to the consumer protection laws and applicable regulations of their own jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under your local law.
19.3 Class Action Waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, not as part of a class or collective action.
20. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Wayzos.
- Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a business transfer.
- Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict with a translation, the English version controls.
